FYI-When I loaded the page it took some time and I'm guessing the file sizes are huge. I was having a lot of difficulty trying to watch the mini films. The interviews voice overs were running slow and breaking up. I use Mac OS10 and tried to view through Safari and Firefox but had the dame results.
Any suggestions and or other places to watch these movies. — asked by Anonymous

Hi — Most of the content is streamed and the players embedded so file sizes really are not a factor in page rendering or playback, like for watching YouTube videos. It will be mostly affected by bandwidth and Internet connection issues rather than anything having to do with your computer, system or browser. If it were a browser issue, you’d see that as a piece of content not appearing at all, probably with a notation about needing to update Flash or something.

A couple of possible suggestions, though:

  • Try refreshing the site a few times and playing the content a few times. This should cache the non-streaming parts of the site (such as menus and graphics) on your computer, freeing up bandwidth for the streaming parts (such as the Vuvoxes and videos).

  • Play the content directly from the embedded services. Here are links to our Vuvox channel, our YouTube channel and our Vimeo channel. That takes the website itself completely out of the loop in terms of connection performance. That shouldn’t make any difference. But if you play someone else’s content from those services and get the same or different results, you’ll know.
